Exhibition Fusion V (2024)

Exhibition Fusion V presented a collaboration of original art works from three local artists Tanya Ashworth, Yuiko Uto and Eri Yamaguchi.
Tanya Ashworth is a local artist embracing iconic Brisbane scenery and bright colours into artwork. Her detailed collage art works are outstanding and so delightful, and Tanya’s bright reef styled artworks have been very popular up in Cairns, North Queensland. Gerbino’s local Italian Pasticceria showcases her beautiful artwork.

Yuiko Uto is a Brisbane based Japanese artist who collaborates her thoughtful ideas from her life to create lively artwork. Her last exhibition “Popoco – Little Memos” themed childhood soul and shared a warm and playful atmosphere.

Eri Yamaguchi is a Japanese artist currently living and working in Brisbane as an Artist / Illustrator. Her artwork emphases intricate detail, Pen and Ink Kawaii (cute) and creative pop Japanese art world. With her story-telling artwork featuring nature and wildlife created by graphite.

Pop-up Art Exhibition “ほほ笑み Hohoemi (2023)

｢ほほ笑み Hohoemi｣

The title of this pop-up Art Exhibition means lovely smile. I picked this title as I always feel that just a simple act of smiling is so heart-warming and also I like the Japanese saying ｢笑う門には福来る Warau kadoniwa fukukitaru｣ – smile brings fortune and takes you a long way.

In ｢ほほ笑み Hohoemi｣ , My special Nine Tailed Fox art collection was presented at Kazuyo’s Collection TESHIGOTO amongst other original art works.

For several years now, I have been illustrating and offering 尾狐Kyu-bi as a special collection of 9 original artworks with different themes each year. These often include 8 tiny one of kind art originals and 1 medium original artwork, with limited edition art prints of the medium art piece.

Nine Tailed Collection 2023 presents brightness and positivity. Iconic Japanese flowers flourish through the collection. It was extra special to introduce this year’s art piece as it features my hometown Fujiyoshida-shi.

Exhibition ‘From New Mexico to Sunny Queensland – The Art of Illustration’ was held at the lovely Tiny Tree Cafe from 08th September to 04th October 2020.  The venue really provides an amazing atmosphere to relax and enjoy the scrumptious cakes and coffee while appreciating the art exhibits on display throughout the year. The Argus – Disruption Bushfires Exhibit was held at the Grey Street Gallery in Southbank from 14th to 28th of September. The work displayed focused on disruption while seeking to unite works across a variety of mediums. I was so honored to be selected to be apart of this display. Exhibition FUSION (2020)

 
Exhibition FUSION was running from Sunday 14th June to Friday 3rd of July at Scrumptious Reads in Red Hill. It was a really great time and so nice to share this with two other lovely talented artists Tanya Ashworth and Yuiko Uto. Art Exhibition WHALE – HOPE 希望 – (2019)

 

Exhibition WHALE – HOPE 希望 was running from Thursday 22nd August to Saturday 14th of September at Poly Gone Cowboy in Norman Park. For the exhibit I created a series of whale illustration art which represents the importance of protecting whales and all marine animals in our ecosystem. DISCOVERY – Mixed Artist Exhibition (2018)

 

DISCOVERY – Mixed Artist Exhibition was held at The Bean Cafe in Brisbane during the month of May. Over 40 art works were on display from 6 lovely artists, and the exhibit provided an amazing atmosphere and a great opportunity to enjoy all the creations in one place. RADIANT (2017)

 

RADIANT was held at The MET Brisbane for a special one night only event on September 21st 2017. On the night I had a really nice space to display a combination of Original and Reproduction Prints. The night was full of exciting talented Artists and I was so happy to be apart of this event. RADIANT was a really exciting opportunity for me to showcase my Art to the local community. Exhibition Diversity was held at Hands on Art in Paddington from September 12th until September 23rd 2017. The OPENING NIGHT was held on Saturday 16th September and was a really enjoyable night. Exhibition Yume (2017)

 

Exhibition Yume was running from Tuesday 5th to Saturday 30th of September at The Burrow in West End. Here I introduced a “Colouring Competition” for the first time during the exhibit. Exhibition Mugen was held at Hands on Art in Paddington from August 5th until August 12th 2017. The OPENING NIGHT was held on Saturday 5th August and was full of nibbles, performances and drinks to help celebrate this special event. Exhibition MIE was held at Browning Street Studios in West End from June 10th until June 24th 2017. OPENING NIGHT was Saturday 10th June and was full of nibbles and drinks to help celebrate this special event.
